The First of Many Destinations

The drive for Lee and I was made much less grueling by the many places we stopped along the way on our trip from Orlando to Spokane. It was a history, science, cultural and climate lesson all wrapped in to one, and the illustrations came with the schooling I began receiving first hand in 1996. The splendor of the open road from one marvel to the next will be forever emblazoned in my mind.

After a week or so of seeing a good portion of America, we arrived in Spokane. I recall being corrected by Lee on a couple occasions over the pronunciation of the rustic city.
